Why do members join?
In 2023, we asked members to indicate how valuable they found different potential reasons to join a society, by rating each reason out of 100 (whereby fewer points indicated that it is less of a reason for them to be a member, while more points indicated more of a reason). Similarly to previous years, career support, access to a like-minded community and networking opportunities were the biggest motivators for members to join a society.
