Satisfaction increase: Consistently over the years, three-quarters of society members are satisfied or highly satisfied with their society. Only around 5% of members in any given year, anywhere in the world and in any discipline, are dissatisfied with their society.

Differences in satisfaction: Members in the USA tend to be more satisfied than others, while members in the Middle East tend to be less satisfied.

Members of societies that publish a journal are also on average happier with their membership than members of societies that don't have a publication.
