How do members want societies to support open data?

The momentum around open data has continued to grow over recent years; 53% of members say it is becoming more or much more important. This figure has stayed roughly consistent over the last three years, so it’s a trend that we can expect to continue as open access gains momentum. The number of respondents that want societies to encourage or even mandate the sharing of data has significantly increased compared to 2022. So has the need for technical support and guidelines, indicating that members are looking to societies to help them with sharing their data.
